GBU-43 Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB)

The 11 ton MOAB (popularly referred to as the “Mother Of All Bombs”) was a US Air Force rapid deployment program which went from concept to deployment in 9 months.

ASEI designed and delivered the guidance computer unit electronics and the Operational Flight Software, including the autopilot, guidance, and navigation systems.

MOAB is carried inside a C-130, is launched using an extraction parachute, and using its INS/GPS based guidance system flies to specified point where it detonates just above the ground.
